Bernadette is a petite girl, about 24 pounds, and is up to date on vaccinations. She came from the tough streets of Houston and has a lot of love to give, but her past has left its mark. Bernadette can be incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loving, but she also has major behavioral challenges and can react quickly, including biting. Her ideal home has no children, minimal visitors, a calm environment, a patient and experienced handler, and a willingness to keep working with her while respecting her boundaries. She does okay with larger dogs, but we are unsure about small dogs. She needs the right safe home where she can feel understood and set up for success. Adoption fee: $350.
